The inscription on the reverse of this coins, with translation in English, reads as follows:

"10 c. State of Ngazidja. By the grace of God. Year 1308."

Mint and privy marks:

The mint mark at A is a letter "A", the pre-1880 mint mark of the Monnaie de Paris mint.

At B is the new mint mark of the Monnaie de Paris mint.

C is the privy mark of the chief engraver: for the 1889 issue it was the fasces mark of Jean Lagrange; for the 1901 issue it was the torch mark of Henri Auguste Patey.
